I have a hard time believing Max turns 2 this month! How is this possible? He keeps getting funnier, crazier, and more chatty every day. John and I went on vacation for a week, and couldn't believe how much older he seemed, and how much he was talking. He's really into his train table, trucks, construction trucks, and cars lately. He still loves books, but he doesn't want to sit on my lap in his rocking chair to read before bed =(. Instead he wants to sit by himself and turn the pages while I read to him. I'm hoping it's just because my belly is getting too big, but that's probably not the case. Although, he's still so sweet (most of the time) for our bed time routine. He loves to close his hands to pray, say amen (he thinks it's hilarious), and it melts me after I say goodnight and close the door he says "night, night, momma." He also has this new "fat kid" voice we're not sure where he picked it up from. When I ask what he wants for dinner, or ask if he wants something specific, he'll repeat it in this voice and crack himself up. Green Beans= "B beeeans", "Grilled Cheeeese", "Mac n Cheeeese", "Green Peeeas." It actually makes my day. Max is still not so sure about the idea of a baby brother or sister, but he did let me hold my friend's baby for quite a while without caring, which is huge progress! I still have 3 months to work on him...wish us luck.
